Project Based Learning Culminating Activity

Highland Park High School utilizes an educational method called Project Based Learning (PBL). PBL helps students engage in critical thinking, collaborate in teams, communicate their ideas, and create innovative projects that help their community. PBL provides an opportunity for students to apply the skills to relevant, real-life issues.  These are Highland Park High School’s Pathway Outcomes, or learning goals, which every student must demonstrate in order to graduate.  At Highland Park High School students have be working on  their PBL projects during Period 5-6 during the 2017-2018 school year.

Students have participated in one of Highland Park High School’s PBL four project types: Case-Based Learning, Community-Based Learning, Design-Based Learning, and Work-Based Learning.

Parents are invited to observe their child's presentation.  A letter has been sent home with the information. For more information, please contact your child's teacher at 323-254-3421.  Please submit your RSVP as soon as possible.
